My dad was a professional photographer and gave me my first camera at age 10. Even though he never experienced digital photography, I still apply the basics that he taught me a long time ago. When I decided to make a career of it, I was fortunate to assist some of the best photographers around and learned firsthand by being next to the camera. After assisting and coordinating on photo shoots for 8 years, I started doing my own work in the early 90's. Although initially I specialized in resort and lifestyle photography, I added a few other portfolios over the years, including fine art and landscapes. I love the challenges of architectural photography, the serenity of nature, the different views and angles shooting from a helicopter and the beautiful light on any surface. - Andre
