Key Largo is an hour’s drive south of Miami and is the first and northernmost of the Florida Keys. Self-proclaimed as the “Dive Capital of the World,” Key Largo attracts many tourists interested in scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing just a few miles off shore at the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States. The island is also home to one of the world’s largest artificial reefs, the 510 ft. USS Spiegel Grove.

In 1948, Key Largo gained fame as the setting for the movie Key Largo. Each year, Key Largo hosts the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival to celebrate the life and films of “America’s greatest male screen legend,” as described by the American Film Institute.
